So after the last week of our new Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, making numerous speeches about restoring faith and trust back into politics he is not going to block a new law that makes members of parliament exempt from the Freedom of Information Act.

In short the FOIA creates a general right of access, on request, to information held by public authorities on things like how your local council spends our money and how much MPs use their "expenses".

However, a bill was passed in parliament yesterday that will now make politicians exempt from the law, meaning there is one law for everybody else and one law for them.

That's pretty dumb.  After the whole tony Blair spin and cronies stuff last thing Gordon should be doing is blatantly hiding things from the public.

Keep digging your political grave Gordon!

If they have nothing to hide they shouldn't be worried. But, they do. Hence why they want to be exempt from this act. So all in all, fuck them. This country is run by criminals, for the criminals (Chavs, Other criminals seem to have more rights than normal people). Australia must be laughing at us.
