So after the last week of our new Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, making numerous speeches about restoring faith and trust back into politics he is not going to block a new law that makes members of parliament exempt from the Freedom of Information Act.
In short the FOIA creates a general right of access, on request, to information held by public authorities on things like how your local council spends our money and how much MPs use their "expenses".
However, a bill was passed in parliament yesterday that will now make politicians exempt from the law, meaning there is one law for everybody else and one law for them.
