We could redo Wake better than EA could. They should all let us give input for BF3 Wake!
problems on wake would be solved, when the carrier was nearer to the island and if the aa-phalanx would lock on faster on sighting range. the problem is, if a z10 is raping the arty island, you can´t hit it with the carriers aa and if a j10 rapes the carrier, it can shoot on sight on the aa, while the aa takes to long to lock on. the imbalance on wake is because of the air superiority. fix the anti-air or the j10 and there is no problem left.. wake without water sounds pretty silly... like karkand without buildings...

It's the LCAC. It's the US's modern version of a tank lander. Able to ride up onto the beaches, it doesn't have to leave the tanks out in shallow water, making them easy targets.stkhoplite wrote:

That would be a mess. As much as people like to pretend boats are easy to destroy, they are not. They are more difficult to see/hit and therefore destroy. They blend into the water more, and they are do not stick up as much as any of the land vehicles.

Heres an update... The map drops off at the edges because they never planned to have the water lowered...
I am in the process of texturing the map so it looks better... The carrier also floats in the air... I think ill lower the carrier and the planes etc...
Some ingame screens... I have to regenerate the ground hemi(forgot) and make sure the lowdetailtextures are correct... but other than that... ill post a filefront link Wed early afternoon... There is water out on the edges of the map and where the carrier is... but the island is dry all the way around and in the middle...

Nice work! I don't think it would work though. There's still a J-10 and anything coming up the middle would be targetted by snipers, TOW missiles, you'd need some sort of trenchline just to evade it!
I do think WI07 should only get 1 J-10 though.

And i just parked that vtol jet that i flew from the carrier... The carrier is still the same... its in shallower water... all the stock vehicles are the same... just lower water and new textures...

Yeh, that would be awesome, but the american spawn point would need a shitload of AA
Obviously all that is needed to balance Wake is two F-22's that instakill with the cannon and can't die.

This can work though, if you put F18 on the carrier instead of the F35, the map is way more balanced. I think if you make the middle covered with kind of wood, some more armor for USMC, the map would be very nice, and we could play it all together on an unranked server

I saw add some US armor/AA somewhere on the desert, and I'll check in to seeing whether or not the US server can load custom maps. I don't think so, but we may be able to run a small game (12-16 players) on a server in my house.
