I believe the X2's are all AM2 of Socket F. New rig looks pretty awesom to me. I'm not a PC expert but it looks awesome
Incorrect. The socket 939 line of Athlon 64's does feature X2 CPU's.

Hello, its me again, I havent been on BF2s for ages but most of you probably dont even know me anyways.
Anyways, I want to upgrade my current system, specs are as follows:
ASUS A8N-SLI DELUXE (Socket 939, nForce 4 SLI)
Athlon64 3500+ @ 2,2Ghz
6800 Ultra @ 425/2100
4x80GB HDD
GEIL 2x512MB Dual Channel DDR400 @ Stock speeds, frequencys and timings.
2THEMAX ( HK BRAND) 480W PSU
So there you have it, my current system, just about 1 year and 9 months old. I want to upgrade some stuff so it isnt as slow, games now are taking advantage of dual-core and im still on a single core. Piece of crap now, but back then it was top-notch. Anyways I was wondering if any of you know of any socket 939 X2's i can buy. I live in hong kong so buying stuff wouldnt be so easy and therfore there is no newegg and sadly, I dont do e-bay or any online transfers either. So it would be great if you guys could recommend any Socket 939 X2's for me.
Along side with the CPU upgrade (if possible), I will upgrade to 2Gb Dual CHannel and just get a single WD320GB HDD to lessen the heat in my case. I will also be upgrading to a 600-700W PSU. Other than that I have one more thing I hope you guys can help out.
As you can see, my specs arent exactly brand new and I have trouble with BF2 on high mainly because I do not have enough wattage to power my OC'ed GPU. So these are my new specs:
ASUS Striker Extreme
Core 2 DUo E6600 and OC it to 3.2 at 8*400
Corsair PC26400 2 x 1GB Dual Channel @ 400
ASUS EN 8800GTX
WDCavair SE WD7500AAKS 750GB
2 Lite On LH20AIH DVD Burners
XFI Extreme Gamer
CM extreme power pro 850W
Antec Nine Hundred
Scythe Infinity with quad fan setup or Zalman CNPS9700
Any random card reader
Evercool Rocket V GPU cooler
Altec Lansing Model 251 5.1 Speakers
Logitech diNovo Bluetooth Desktop
Dell E228WFP 22" Widescreen 1680x1050
I was wondering if you guys had any feedback on that new system, I might also wait till the Q3 price drop so i can get myself a C2Q 6600 quad core at acheaper and more affordable price. If you think that any compontent is not worth it please let me know and give me some alternative choises. Thanks folks in advance, talk to you guys soon.

PS: All currencies in HK are 7.8USD:1HKD and around 15Pounds:1HKD but stuff here seems to be alot cheaper than those I see in the US and Canada. My system costs a total of ~19000HKD.
wooops currencies r the other way round thx for pointing tat out ninja
You're almost exactly where I am with my PC, only better, because I've been playing musical video cards with BFG and my own 6800 Ultra for the past two weeks (don't get me wrong, I love BFG's products, but this is getting a bit old). I honestly think they're running out of them and sending me refurbished ones. But while your specs aren't exactly brand new, they are different enough to qualify as a new rig, not an upgrade. I too would wait for Q3 prices, when products are actually out that a new system and Vista can take advantage of (i.e., Unreal Tournament 3).
Might I suggest, while I'm briefly skimming over your sheet, to use two different DVD burners? The reasons for this have been discussed before, and it is practiced by high-performance rig distributors.
