They died to give you the right to vote. They also died to give you the right to choose not to vote. The only thing that comes in to play here is you voice and how much it matters. If you vote, you have a legitimate right and reason to voice an opinion. If you choose not to vote, then you shouldn't have the gumption to complain when you don't like what your elected officials do.usmarine2005 wrote:

An argument thrown up by some though is that if you don't vote (or run yourself) then you have foregone your right to complain about the way your country is run and expect others to listen. Just throwing that out there, not advocating or dismissing it.usmarine2005 wrote:

So, you're telling me that millions of people died so that you could decide who chose the colour of the street signs?usmarine2005 wrote:

Well, I don't know how things work in Australia, but having someone that can do things like change street sign color is very important. It keeps "upper management" from having to micromanage, a.k.a. Dictatorship.Bubbalo wrote:

If you're not going to vote for a presidential candidate, you should keep your mouth shut when one you don't like gets elected. Even a vote for the "lesser of two evils" is better than a vote for the worst, or no vote at all.
Yep....because street signs always change colors.........Bubbalo wrote:

35 for President. However, you don't have to be that old to run for public office. Go run for Mayor.usmarine2005 wrote:
