Okay, I've only got a few more questions. 

I know you said that you think the Intel processor is the better choice, but I don't know how to OC.  So given that any processor I have will likely be factory tuned, is the 6600 still a better choice than the AMD?

Also, since I am going to be keeping my hard drive, will I need to buy Windows again?  It's already loaded on a small 3 gig hard drive that is used for nothing else in my comp (I'm pretty sure).  Or do I still have to buy another copy since it will be on a new rig?

granted vista eats your RAM, but its better than shellin out $150 thats gonna be replaced in a year or sooner.

EDIT: also you'll be having 2 gigs of RAM so you'll be fine in bf2 if you do use vista. im sure you can change all the extra crap they added into it like the idiotic 3d windows...think they were on drugs when they did some things on vista...

Seen some posts in this thread claiming that you'll need vista if you get a dx10 card. This is not true, as the cards run fine on dx9. Stay away from vista until MS gets their OS worked out. There are no games that use dx10(well there is one, but it's shit), and from what I've seen from dx10 game previews like Crysis, there is hardly any noticeable change from dx9 to dx10.

I had the same heating problems you have with my old computer. When I touched it, it was very warm all the time it felt like a mini heater beside me. Now that I have an antec 900 it's like a fridge beside me always cool. I sometimes have to put socks on it gets to cold

It seems like everyone has this case now. I got one 2 weeks ago for my new pc, and I gotta say, this thing is fucking leet!!

The only thing with that case is that is doesn't have a power supply with it.  How hard are those to install?...because I really don't have any idea with them.

I have almost completely redesigned this PC.  I went and talked to someone at a store (Altex) that sells many of the components I was going to buy and he gave me some recommendations and I though I'd cross-reference them with you guys.  Here is the new list of components I am looking at:

I saw what Tdog said about the case and I wonder if anyone thinks this one is any better.  I'm not completely sure about the 8800 and if I don't get it, I'll most likely invest in a 7950 instead.  Would the case be able to handle either one of those cards, or would I be better off buying a case and PSU separately?
