You can debate about who's land it is all you want, but it doesn't take away from the fact that Hamas is directly targeting and launching attacks at Israel's civilian population...and they aren't even trying to be discrete about it. Why not target Israeli military forces if they are so upset by their incursion?
The fact of the matter is that there will never be peace in the region as long as Israel exists. Israel is dealing with a culture that is bred to hate them. Jewish blood libels, anyone? This hate isn't just gonna go away over night.

OMG, nobody is advocating Hamas. While most supportes of Palestine defend their right to have a land of their own, many supporters of Israel are advocating the killing of Palestinian civilians, justified by the actions of Hamas. Both Hamas and Israel are wrong. But Israel has a very gay attitude to deal with extremists. They should send the IDF's, oh wait they already are there, never mind, instead of sending a F-16 to bomb whatever they want, without taking care about civilians. They behave like Hamas, but in a more brutal way. They are fags. Send the soldiers to get the extremists, not a plane you fag.
The US and UK soldiers and marines are dealing with extremists in Iraq, they have the balls to do the job and they are concerned about civilian population. The IDF's should learn from them. But that's not going to happen.

I think the main reason why aircraft are used more often than men on the ground is because there is less likely to be a death on the side using the plane. When a group of soldiers are killed the media is all over it like a pack of dogs to a piece of meat, and this is then used against the government for anti-war purposes and so on. Using an aircraft decreases the chance of loss on say the Israelis side, although is much more likely to cause loss on the Palestinian side. Personally, I think aircraft should only attack targets in wider open spaces such as rural areas or large military targets within urban areas, where there is less chance for innocents to be killed. Urban warfare should be kept to ground vehicles and infatrymen who can do a more thorough and accurate sweep of the area.
