Only the MK3A1 and MP7 need more ammo.

I think the AT smg's could use more clips too, now that i think about it. Definitely the PP-19 and P90.

If you're running dry on ammo, there are a few possibilities...
1) you suck and can't hit anything
2) you reload too much


If that isn't the case, then it's not hard to find ammo packs lying on the ground or find a support soldier. And even if you can't and you are just teh ownzor and waste everyone and your ammo can't keep up with you, then surely someone you've killed was a support soldier, in which case you take their pack, throw some ammo, and then switch back. And if no one you play against is support, then you must be playing on a super small server with hardly any people on it, in which case refer to my 2 cases above.



EDIT: And I think it would be nice if the P90 got an extra clip, 2 clips of 50 isn't that great. But it'd be really nice if the AT kits had 2 or 3 extra missiles. But then again that's totally unrealistic, AT guys could not lug around 10 missiles; I know it's insane, but DICE did try to maintain some elements of realism within their game.

Around 15 and if your in a squad as resupply rifleman you carry alot more.

I laughed out loud when you said that!  Do you know how much 15 mags would weigh?  Each mag with ammunition in it weighs about 1.5 pounds or more, depending on caliber.  That is about 22.5 lbs., way too much weight to be added to everything else a soldier carries.

9 M4 mags=270 rounds
15 M4 mags=450 rounds!  That is way too much.

PR is correct, you and BF2 are wrong.

Uh no i saw it in blackhawk down one of the guys had 14 spare clips in body armor pockets. And the one guy who was resupply had a bag that held alot more.

I think the OP is trying to point out the stupidity of carrying 8 spare clips for your sidearm and yet only 4 (usually) for your main weapon.

Yeah that is true the amount of sidearm ammo should reduced, whilst increasing main weapon by a couple of mags maybe...

Well i do suck with the m16 on burst mode but overall my hit rate is average. And i only reload when i have less then 7 rounds.

I play on ghost alot there are very few support soldiers everyone likes to use the l85 and g3 for some reason, I'm only posting this since with the g36k i cant hit shit and it takes 3 bursts to kill a guy. But with the g36e,l85,g3, and ak101 my hit reg is good.

That's cuz the G36k sucks. Use the C, it pwns the K.

Exactly. 5.56 and especially 7.72 rounds are heavy, you can't have 6+ mags on you at all times. Pistol mags, however, while people may not carry 6, are still much lighter and easier to carry.

the pistol's clip is very light compared to an assault rifile mag, and easier to expend, so i can understand why the soldier would carry more pistol clips.

well, I can drop two or three with an assault rifile mag easily, so ammo has never been an issue, only with the P-90 have i really felt pressed for ammo, since it takes a 30 bullet spray to bring down someone.
