With my exams finally over, I am now buying a new computer. This will be primarily for gaming. The only other thing I will do is internet browsing and occasional work.
For those of you whose eyes cannot look left I'm from UK, so no Newegg.
Anyway because of the inevitable flaming which comes when anyone asks about systems I have decided to build it myself. Having never done this before I will be grateful for any help. After looking at other posts I have looked around on overclockers and come up with this. http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/8607 … ofoaw3.jpg. Any input or changes are welcome. I really have no idea about power/ motherboards etc.
Things I want:
1. 2 or more GB of corsair RAM
2. 8800 series graphics
3. intel C2D processor
Things I don't want:
1. Ati
2. AMD
3. Components that are likely to break and are unreliable.
I need everything, including speakers, monitors, keyboard and OS apart from a mouse.
I was thinking of getting this monitor. http://www.pcwb.com/catalogue/item/LGMON242
If I can't get all the parts I could always get this system http://www.chillblast.com/product.php?p … amp;page=1
But I really want to build it, so please help me out.
My budget is around £1,000 excluding OS. Because I could probably get my parents to pay for that.
