These are low end graphics cards. Bf2 will barely run on low settings.
Wow, way to sell a card way short. Got nothing intelligent to post, dont post my friend. I got my brother in law an X1650Pro 512mb, it can easily run BF2 on all medium, could probaly go higher, never tested it. The 8 series arent worth it IMO. DX10 is not hevialy supported and Vistas a bitch, stick with with the X1650 its a solid card with some good performence.
You dont have a clue what you´re talking about right? X16** series is pretty much low end right now. Compared to a 7600GT only the more expensive X1650XT is worth a try. And you wont call a 7600GT highend would you?!
The 88** series cards arent worth it? Ok, then tell me other cards that show you similar results. DX10 isnt supported too much right now, but what about upcoming games like QW:ET, Crysis etc.? And Vista is a bitch, sure, let´s talk again in a year and the game industry stops developing games for XP.
@Zimmer: well the 86** series is better then the ATI equal, so why is it shit? Because it hasnt the performance plus like the 88** series?

In comparsion to whats out currently, yes. However, for BF2 the card is pretty good, is it going to stand up to the 8 series? Hell no. An to be honest going with a low end 8 series is a joke, you get mediocre perfermence jsut for the newest series. The X1950 easily beats most of the lower end 8 series in most categories. Especially for the price. A midrange card like the X1650 isnt gonna pump out the greatest visuals, but what it does give is quite nice for its price point, and if your not a hardcore gamer it will easily satisfy your needs. I play BF occasionaly and alot of RTS's, do I need an 8800? No, im going with an overclockled 7600GT for the price nothing can beats its performence. Just becasue better exists doesnt always make it worth it. You guys dont give the X1650 any credit, its a solid card that performs well. Unless you have actually used the card, dont try and toss it in the heap based on specs. The one I set up for BF2 runs easily at medium settings. My old 5200FX can run BF at a couple of medium settings, sure framerate aint spectacular but never was a stickler for 100fps...
Go with the 8800GTX, im amsumming this is going to be built for you?
