Sorry for the second thread but I forgot to add the word "off" into the thread name.

Should I turn Catalyst A.I., I heard that it could be better to turn it off, is this true?  I have it on high right now.

Why do you ask?

If you're having stability issues, then yes.

If you're wondering whether you'll get better performance with it off, then try it.

Catalyst AI will take shortcuts to render things quicker with allegedly no/little loss to image quality. Turning it off will perhaps give you slightly better IQ but at the expense of a loss of fps.

I played around with it a bit on my old ATI card and found no noticeable difference either way.

If you're benchmarking it should be off really to get true results but to be honest when playing a fast paced game you're not going to notice the tiny differences in the image and should probably have it on.

Play around with it, I doubt you'll notice anything obvious. I'd just leave it on.

Yeah, the main issues with Catalyst AI are in the area of stability. I too have played around with it a bit and basically can't tell any visual difference between it being on and off. I did however find having it on seemed to make things a little less stable. I also actually don't think turning it off hits performance that much either.
