Thats like saying "Lets ask children if they want to drink, if they do let them." Parent's shouldn't have to get confirmation from the kid. They're just protecting their kids, which is something most parents do.
Just plain stupid on all levels.

2. The chip would most likely be near the surface. If there is any metal in the chip a metal detector or possibly even a magnet could locate it. There would also be a small scar or incision mark somewhere on the child.
3. If the Government were in charge of tracking they could very easily abuse this privileged information, imagine the Nazi's had chips ...Anne Frank wouldn't have a best-seller.

If they are minors and the procedure does no harm to the kids, then yes. Children are essentially the property of their parents in this country.PureFodder wrote:

It depends.... There are cases when a social worker can remove a child from a family if abuse can be determined. If the child is 16 or 17, he/she can become an "emancipated" minor. In other words, they can become a legal adult and decide who to live with.PureFodder wrote:

the chips should be able to be turned on and off by the person that is wearing it so that if something happens to that person and they need help and no one knows where they are, they can turn it on and people will be able to find them. i would only wear one if it gave me the option to turn it on/off whenever i needed it
