- Should Parents be allowed to put Tracking/Chips into their childen?
No, No, No.Harmor wrote:
Should a parent who has a child under the age of 18 be allowed to put tracking devices or chips in their children? Do they need the permission of their child before hand?
If the government required it, would you allow it?
Do you have a chip in you right now?
Hell no. Were this actually to happen I'd imagine you'd get a lot of kids sticking metal objects in electricity sockets.
I'm sure that the worlds biggest magnet would become a popular attraction if this were to happen

Lol id take it out put it in a waterproof bag and put it in a river...
1. How would they know?PureFodder wrote:
As everyone keep pointing out, any kidnapper will simply remove the chip. You're basically inflicting the addition of a painful, unsteralised knife wound to the list of horrors the kid will go through. Oh, you're also attaching a huge locator beacon to your kid for anyone who wants to kidnap them.Bruce-SuperNub wrote:
I think it should be allowed. so much kids kidnapped this year, With a chip inside them, they would have had more chance to be found. If someone put a chip in me i wouldn't mind, doesn't do shit just sits there telling people where i am. If i got kidnapped; the chip would most probably save my life.
Thats like saying "Lets ask children if they want to drink, if they do let them." Parent's shouldn't have to get confirmation from the kid. They're just protecting their kids, which is something most parents do.
Just plain stupid on all levels.
2. How would they locate it?
3. How would they be able to abuse said chip?
You can't just say it'd be harmful without stating facts that it would.
1. If chips became standard in all under 18s the kidnappers would know.Bruce-SuperNub wrote:

2. The chip would most likely be near the surface. If there is any metal in the chip a metal detector or possibly even a magnet could locate it. There would also be a small scar or incision mark somewhere on the child.
3. If the Government were in charge of tracking they could very easily abuse this privileged information, imagine the Nazi's had chips ...Anne Frank wouldn't have a best-seller.
Technically, this is legal if the parents do it.Harmor wrote:

It's NOT legal for the government to require it.
Personally, I think this is a horrible idea, but I know several parents that are paranoid enough to do this if it becomes affordable and available.
Are parents allowed to inflict unnecessary surgery on their kids in the USA?Turquoise wrote:

If they are minors and the procedure does no harm to the kids, then yes. Children are essentially the property of their parents in this country.PureFodder wrote:

If the child objects to it, do they have the right to force it on the kid?Turquoise wrote:

It depends.... There are cases when a social worker can remove a child from a family if abuse can be determined. If the child is 16 or 17, he/she can become an "emancipated" minor. In other words, they can become a legal adult and decide who to live with.PureFodder wrote:

Aside from that, parents really have the power.
Only doctors that come from Muslim countries should have chips installed /sarcasm.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
LOL...KILLSWITCH wrote:

We'd still let them out of the country to go to an Al-Queda training camp...KILLSWITCH wrote:

That's a great idea actually.... then you could track them to the camps... and then kill everyone. lolScorpion0x17 wrote:

If you were knocked out, killed or made immobile, you can have fun trying to turn it on..ceslayer23 wrote:
the chips should be able to be turned on and off by the person that is wearing it so that if something happens to that person and they need help and no one knows where they are, they can turn it on and people will be able to find them. i would only wear one if it gave me the option to turn it on/off whenever i needed it
EDIT:spelling mistake.
