Can any of you fine people out there tell me if a EVGA nForce 680i SLi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (122-CK-NF68-A1) will fit in my (try not to flame) Dell E521.

Have you put an ATX Form factor Motherboard into an BTX form factor case?XBurnerX wrote:
I've managed to rig up all manner of boards in various craptastic cases at work. The hang up you will most likely see is connecting the case switches to the board.
Of course you can always start your PC with a screwdriver
That is irrelevant...loubot wrote:

Might need a bit of modding to get it in tho, mobo screws etc
DO NOT use DELL's powersupply, it can and/or will destroy a non DELL mobo.(also DO NOT use reg PS with a DELL mobo[same thing])loubot wrote:

It seems that you do not understand the situation. Dell trys to make it so that it is harder to install aftermarket parts to your computer. You will be lucky to find an aftermarket case that will fit in there without frustration or long hours of adjustments. An example is my friend has a 5sided dell mobo that will only fit in his XPS case and in order to fit a 4 sided mobo he would have to extensive modifications to the case.CodePhoeniX wrote:

This is a proprietary Antec case. Antec possesses, owns, and holds exclusive right to that case.
Wrong...loubot wrote:

con·ven·tion·al: according with, sanctioned by, or based on convention b : lacking originality or individuality

BTX is a form factor of MoBo's just like ATX is. Based on that I would say it lacks originality or individuality. As there are Non (DELL,HP, ect.) BTX computers out there.your problems...ASI_ramone77 wrote:

If your MoBo fits, it will be upsidedown, or backwards. (I/O facing inside computer.)
[*]Add on cards will be a problem.

Good job Yeah, you will want to get a new case! I recommend a P180 - they are very cheap now and "the best air cooled case out there".
