Anyone hear about him being fired for giving "Kane and Lynch" a negative review?
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?

That's kind of ridiculous. In the world of corporate-owned games review/entertainment, I'm pretty sure multi-billion dollar companies don't bow to 4chan-esque tactics. Works with 14 year olds, but I doubt fat-cats in suits are really bothered about a peasants revolt on their Forums.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:

Most of those people were paying subscribers. They all canceled.Uzique wrote:

It certainly sucks, if the reasons he was fired for are to be believed. I can only take my hat off to him for standing up against peer pressure from his superiors to accept an effective 'money-bribe' from a games company to peddle their products. Although, I'd also laugh and slap him, and tell him that smart people realize that working in a big company involves nothing more than sucking the cock of your superiors, dealing with your competitive subordinates, and trying to generally keep everyone happy so that you won't be fired on a whim.
If smart means running against your ethics and values...I'd rather be a dumb-ass. Either way, I wanna see more of Gerstmann, just elsewhere besides GS.Uzique wrote:

I played it, it's not good. Uninstalled after about an hour.Mekstizzle wrote:
Is the game good or crap. I just want a normal review, what are balanced unbiased sites saying about the game?
It doesn't seem that bad.
I heard that Eidos or whoever produced the game had some sort of deal with GameSpot's parent company. They pressured Gamespot to get rid of Gerstmann because of the review.killer21 wrote:
GS bashes a lot of bad games..why is this one in particular getting so much attention? That's lame if that is the reason why he got fired.
It's a fucking rumor.TrueMusou wrote:

He also said "FU** YOU!"mtb0minime wrote:
Here's the video. I really want to hear the other side of the story to this. He did say "multiplayer is worth checking out if you don't have to pay full price", so maybe Gamespot thought he insinuated you should download it? Highly unlikely.

By "not pay full price" he undoubtedly means buy it used, I watched enough GS reviews to know that.mtb0minime wrote:
