My turn to blog.
In all honesty, the thought of going blind scares me shitless. Although I have no reason to think that's happening to me now, A definitive answer from people who studied for years on this topic is still a week away, and not knowing what's wrong bugs me a lot. What am I talking about, you ask? I have three problems with my eyes, and searching on the interwebs has not revealed any possible causes. So, I'd appreciate any input you may or may not be able to provide.
Right, symptom 1:
I see a sort of.. speck. It's as if there was a piece of dirt on my eye, and I could see it (without the excruciating pain) It's always there, but it's particularly visible when I look at bright things. When I look at something else, the speck follows, but with delayed motion. It's also pretty small.
symptom 2:
Wearing contact lenses puts intolerable strain on my eyes. When I wear contact lenses for more than a few hours, my eyes get really strained and tired. I also get pain around the socket and small but painful headache-spams at the front. until I remove the lenses. When I do, I feel fine again in under a minute.
symptom 3:
I see a thin orange (and sometimes blue) glow around bright objects against a dark background. I've always had this, but it's been so subtle I've barely ever noticed and thus forgot about its existence. Recently, It's been getting a lot stronger, and I see the glow around things that have less contrast with the background. If I look closely, it goes away, but whenever I relax, I can see it. In the past month It's gotten so strong, that I can see a faint orange around the text I'm writing now, the border of this post, and the scrollbar at the side. It's hard to imagine for you, I guess. It's very thin, not a blurry hue.
so, if you're not completely perplexed..
got any ideas?
