I agree with laws against having sex with people 13 or younger.  I'd even be cool with saying 14 or younger is illegal.

The point I'm making is that the age limit is unrealistic and overly conservative.  15 seems old enough to handle sex in a responsible way, and quite frankly, most 15 year olds have sex regularly.

Let me give you an example: NC law states that, as long as the person is no more than 4 years older than the minor, then sex is legal.  This begins at age 14, I believe.  So, in NC, an 18 year old could legally have sex with a 14 year old if it is consensual.  The age of consent is 16, so the age difference doesn't matter for people that age and older.

But again, at ages 14 and younger, we agree on this issue.

Basically, what is "okay" or not is entirely up to whoever is judging, but what I'm arguing is that calling Casey "worse" than the TCAP guys is ridiculous.

But, a 19 year old guy who is in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl is vastly different than a 19 (or 60...) year old guy talking dirty to an anonymous girl on the internet.

He is worse because hes in a relationship with her and not only that he got her pregnant. Talking to her over the internet is way less harmful. My point is that there are laws that were broken.

There are still many laws in certain states against sodomy, but is it really right to prosecute a willing couple for butt sex?

The point is...  not every law needs to be consistently enforced.  Jamie and Casey were a willing couple, and if the parents don't press charges, Casey may end up being a good father for this kid.  Why resort to prosecution?

Personally I have too much to lose to ever tag a minor, but the truth of the matter is that in this day and age a 16 year old high school girl is more mature and better educated about a wide variety of subjects than a 20 year old was just 20 years ago. You guys in your 20s might not know it, but you are well advanced of where we were. Things like cell phones and the internet and 3 car families make socialization a quicker and easier process. Hell when we were 14 we quite literally went in the back yard and had rock fights. That was big entertainment.

I'm saying that though I wouldn't do it because I don't want to face the legal ramifications, there's a HUGE difference in some kid, and a woman who is ready physically to reproduce. My girlfriend's daughter is 13. She is about 4'8", hasn't developed anything close to a breast, looks and acts like a child. Only a sick mental pervert would want to have anything to do with her physically. That's just wrong. She has a 14 year old friend however who is about 5'6", thin, who has HUGE tits. The girl looks 22. It's creepy. I tell her not to wander around my house in her "going to sleep" boxer shorts. There's a clear difference in those two people. Nature has ordained that it's time for her little buddy to get pregnant. Nature has similarly ordained that my girlfriend's kid is in no way ready to be having sex.

Some girls don't need to be doing it until they're 19. Some are ready at 15.

Throughout history we've tried to decide what is the right time. Is it 15? 18? 21? My answer is that it's different for every person and only nature can decide. That Spears girl has seen more, done more, and had more worldly education than any trailer home living 18 year old in the backwoods of East Texas, and she's clearly physically ready, so who's to say that she can't but the 18 year old can? In another 100 years it'll be some other age.

I'm not saying I'd do a 17 year old, but I can tell you that plenty of them are ready for sex and probably better at it than I am, and the only reason I wouldn't is because it's illegal.

You have to stop focusing on the age and focus on WOMAN versus CHILD. Doing a "child", meaning anything from a 15 year old who hasn't developed to a mentally handicapped 30 year old, is WRONG. Doing a woman, irrespective of her chronological age, is not.
