Fucking disgusting, hes worse than those guys on to catch a predator,
no he is not. I admit, it's a pretty dumb situation, but lets keep in mind that they are in a relationship.
I have a couple friends (girls) who I can think of who lost their virginity at 15 or 16, one to a guy who was 17 and one who was 18, respectively. Now, they didn't get pregnant, but they COULD have... I know both the guys, and they're both more or less like everyone else out there. Young girls are almost always interested in older guys... that's how it works. Now, I do think that in a way, these guys kinda "took advantage" of the immaturity of the girls, but the harm done was minimal. The law exists to protect people from being pressured into "consent," but unless you know this was the case in this situation, you can't say that Spears's boyfriend is nearly as bad as one of the "TCAP" assholes.
a 15 year old with a 17 year old is ok. My point was that 19 year olds on the show got arrested for soliciting sex with a minor(that includes 16 year olds) yet Casey Aldrige who is 19 got a 16 year old pregnant and might face charges.
15 and 17 is okay? why, only because the law says so?
then what about 16 and 18? and if THAT's okay, why not 16 and 18?
Basically, what is "okay" or not is entirely up to whoever is judging, but what I'm arguing is that calling Casey "worse" than the TCAP guys is ridiculous.
Let me refer to this quote:

I call bullshit on the whole deal. Who the fuck came up with the number 18 anyway? 100 years ago if you weren't married by the time you were 17 you were considered an old maid. This is a bullshit societal construct. Once a girl gets tits, has a period, and can bear a child it's pretty obvious that nature/evolution/God intends for them to be fucking and getting pregnant.
Now, I don't think that we (19-year-old guys) should be going out and banging 15-16 year olds just because "we were intended to," but the it is FACT, that humans were intended to reproduce beginning at about age 14. I subscribe to societal norms which I think are very positive in intention in regards to age-of-consent, so I would never do anything I felt was manipulative of a girl, and I think that people who abuse women in this way are pretty damn low.
However, what this tabloid couple did is their business, and although he may have broken a law, Aldridge and Spears are in a relationship and both parties consented to intercourse. Whether through carelessness or misfortune, they are now expecting a child, and I wish them my best in living happy lives. Hopefully they (and others) will learn from this.
But, a 19 year old guy who is in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl is vastly different than a 19 (or 60...) year old guy talking dirty to an anonymous girl on the internet.
