Exactly.

And since all 1st gen Apple products are prone to fail, voiding the warranty is very stupid.

I can do the same without jailbreaking it.
1. Meebo.com gives you instant messaging on MSN, yahoo, AIM, and a few more.
2. Web apps allow you to play games such as solitaire.
3. You don't need to jailbreak your iPod to browse the web. Just get a wireless router and you're done.

Jailbroken iPods are a hazard waiting to happen.

I was doing the same on a 22" screen with a real keyboard >.>

edit: Who the hell plays solitaire?
edit2: TBH I'd rather get a PSP for those purposes, with CFW you can run basically any game from NES to PlayStation, maybe not N64 though.

you actually tried meebo yet?  i doubt the complicated language of that website runs on the Touch's basic Safari
web apps = more tabs open, which are a pain to switch between

It works just fine. Select your network (MSN, AIM, etc), type in your login info, and you are in. Scroll through your friend slist, and in one tap, you are chatting with your friends.

Oh hello, I have this great thing I use for gaming, and web browsing! It's called Computer! And I didn't even have to jailbreak it to be able to install anything on it! Oh, and did I already tell you I have 19" screen to play with. And several hundred gigs of storage for music and videos!

I cannot see what is the idea of 250€ iPods. As I cannot see the idea of gaming consoles.

But that's just me, you do what you want.

oh, and guess what?  if there are no wireless signals around YOU'RE FUCKED if you want to play Solitaire and Blackjack, not to mention you can't play NES games at all.

and Lights Off is just an experience of its own.

Jailbroken iPhones are already causing huge problems for a lot of users.

I shouldn't really be mentioning this, but I happen to know that Apple are developing new iPod touch firmware to address 'jailbreaking'.

secured wireless.  remember that the Touch is a portable device.  i use my touch most frequently away from home.  that means im often in a car (no wireless signal), on a plane (same thing), or walking down the sidewalk (with plentiful secured networks that i dont know the password to)

Of course they are. And that's why the Apple Dev Team gets so much cash! To go and buy latest firmwire iPhones and iPod Touches to work on another jailbreak. They work solely on donations and I'm happy to say I've contributed my part too

It's simply a really stupid thing to do, there are so many unpredictable things that can go horribly wrong. I work mainly for Apple and see loads and loads of people (60 since Xmas) with dead units because they've 'jailbroken' them.

Two guys I know, who are top qualified Apple engineers and trainers, have recently had to pull some strings to get theirs replaced when they died as a result of being jailbroken. I laughed at them.

You have to know which things to crack and which things not to. PSP, good to crack - iPhone, bad to crack.
