And since all 1st gen Apple products are prone to fail, voiding the warranty is very stupid.

1. Meebo.com gives you instant messaging on MSN, yahoo, AIM, and a few more.
2. Web apps allow you to play games such as solitaire.
3. You don't need to jailbreak your iPod to browse the web. Just get a wireless router and you're done.
Jailbroken iPods are a hazard waiting to happen.
It works just fine. Select your network (MSN, AIM, etc), type in your login info, and you are in. Scroll through your friend slist, and in one tap, you are chatting with your friends.haffeysucks wrote:

web apps = more tabs open, which are a pain to switch between

I have Lights Off, Falling Sand Game, Connect 4, Backgammon, Tetris, Towers Of Hanoi, Tap Tap Revolution, Solitaire, Snake, Sketches, Block puzzle.
Yep, Apple isn't gonna do shit about it either.

oh, and guess what? if there are no wireless signals around YOU'RE FUCKED if you want to play Solitaire and Blackjack, not to mention you can't play NES games at all.
and Lights Off is just an experience of its own.
Jailbroken iPhones are already causing huge problems for a lot of users.Ryan wrote:

secured wireless. remember that the Touch is a portable device. i use my touch most frequently away from home. that means im often in a car (no wireless signal), on a plane (same thing), or walking down the sidewalk (with plentiful secured networks that i dont know the password to)Ryan wrote:

Of course they are. And that's why the Apple Dev Team gets so much cash! To go and buy latest firmwire iPhones and iPod Touches to work on another jailbreak. They work solely on donations and I'm happy to say I've contributed my part tooBertster7 wrote:
I shouldn't really be mentioning this, but I happen to know that Apple are developing new iPod touch firmware to address 'jailbreaking'.
It's simply a really stupid thing to do, there are so many unpredictable things that can go horribly wrong. I work mainly for Apple and see loads and loads of people (60 since Xmas) with dead units because they've 'jailbroken' them.kylef wrote:
