Will this graph card help me alot?

Well, I'd like to know if adding a graphic card will help me for sure for gameplay.

Together with my current system settings:

Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86 GHz
Ram: 0.98 GB
Hard-disk: 114 GB left
Graph card(current): NVIDIA Quadro FX 550 (128mb)
Sound card : SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC

Graphic card I'd like to switch with my current : EVGA GeForce 8800GT 512MB GDDR3, HDCP, PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI-I, 256bit

Will it be worth it for sure? (Do you think I'll be able to play Bf on medium graphics with out laggs?)

With that you would be able to play with high, easily. However you should buy 2 gigs of ram. You need it desperately.

pre-built? do you mean that it's a standard computer? If yes, then it's not a pre-built one.

I'm puzzled trying to imagine what you mean when you insinuate it's "not a standard PC" and my best guess is that you have a laptop? In which case you absolutely can not use that particular graphics card and upgrading RAM will be a harder process.

Otherwise you're saying you're running a Mac and that doesn't agree with the "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" outcome.
And to be clear, no that is not your motherboard.

To find your motherboard through software, download CPU-Z. Unzip it and run the program and look at the mainboard tab. Should look like this. Tell us what it says in the "Motherboard" section.

Edit: And to answer your original question, yes that graphics card will help tremendously but learning a bit more about the innards of your computer will help us to figure out if you can and help you when you get inside.

It should work fine, vet. What is the RAM though? (can you link me to a page with it!) - I'll check out a Qualified Vendors Llist (QVL) to make sure it supports the board.

I suppose you mean the kind of Ram? I'll make an image of it trough CPU-Z?

Mmm... thats quite old RAM you better get 2GB dual channel of new RAM... You can't mix DDR with DDR2 (newest, best, still cheap ) RAM.. I don't know if that motherboard supports dual channel but Kyle will tell you Im sure
If it supports dual channel you could go with this RAM: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … =MY-058-GL or something similar, it's really good and quite cheap.

And it's a new computer, why would they put old ram in it?

That is DDR2 (PC4300 - remember you can even get PC2-3200 DDR2 memory), just slower DDR2. Virtually any DDR2 DIMMS will work in there.

5-600W - for an 8800GT!?!

The G92 GPUs have LOWER power requirements than the G80 GPUs. 600W would be good for running an SLI setup with those cards, but is complete overkill for a single 8800GT. 400W would be ample.

Yup, should be ok. It'd be an idea to check you PSU, around 400W with about 19A across the 12V rails is what you need. The memory will be ok, but won't run at that speed so you might want to go for something slower (you have PC4300 and you're buying PC6400, which will work, but will be downclocked).

Have a look at it.

For that you need to open the computer up and look at the power ratings that are probably written on the side.
