Ive never really known, can a router firewall replace a software solution? I know a proper Enterprise firewall is a hardware item that is 100x better than anything i have, but i was never sure about your standard Netgear (for example) one.
A port scan with my firewall (Kapersky) off, still came up full stealth. But i guess, a router firewall doesnt alert you to apps trying to connect to the net (or incoming) - and just blocks / allows silently (spose you can check log files).
