Well, on the way home from desert shoosting today, I was pulled over by one of the fine officers of the California Highway Patrol.

Taillight out, no biggie.

But it was the golden moment... when he shined the maglight into the back seat... Money shot on the face for real.

Spread along my back seat is 2 large caliber rifles, a shotgun, and a handgun... and near 20 boxes of ammunition. And yes, I have permits for all of them. And they were all locked.

So he looks there, looks back to me, looks back to the guns.. And clears his throat.

He asked if I was carrying any weapons

I probably should have gone to jail, because I am not legally allowed to own a handgun, even though I do.

Dunno, he probably called the ATF when he got back to the station.

Everytime I've ever been pulled over they walk up with their hand on their gun, check the back seats before they step to my window (about a foot back mind you, so I can't see or get at them easily if I was planning on attacking them).
I guess they trust you more down there.

From the post, I'd read that he has permits for owning them, even though he shouldn't for the handgun.

I try and act innocent when confronted by the police, because my bag contains a variety of sharp pointy objects. All legal, but just barely.

What state you in? you have to have a permit for rifles?
If there flopping around in the back seat with handguns with the rifles sitting next to ammo, that should have got a police check right there.
It's illegal to have ammo in the same place as your guns here in Washington.
And that cop is retarded to act or seemed scared when the guns are in the back seat and your in the front seeming to be not a threat.
Why would a cop not check you and those guns after seeing so many with ammo next to it.

I've been pulled over with my gun in the back and I told the cop I hade a gun in the back, He said that's fine, just to not take it out.
That was in the back of the jeep out of site.
