Ok, thanks everyone for the help. What I'm hearing though is that its a hardware issue (whether it be Ram or Video Card) and not something I can go and fix. Is this right?
Edit: if I do end up getting the new computer then I should be better off with a better video card and 2 Gb of Ram.
I think that it is just an issue with the engine CoD4 uses (like how efficient it uses its resources to render graphics or something of the like) because there are some pretty decent specs posted on here and all of them are saying that they are struggling with medium settings. If you don't think you can compare BF2 and CoD4, then I'll compare 2142 and CoD4. I can run 2142 maxed as well with my current specs with little to no problem (granted I seem to studder a bit within the midst of a heavy Orbital Strike but nonetheless....).
