I listen and like pretty much any genre of music

Cryan was because of crysis you noob.

This is what is wrong with Western youth. It is so incredibly "deep" it's shallow as all get out. It encourages shallow people to think they have broad thoughts, furthering our societal sense that every kid deserves to feel great about everything they do and that negative reinforcement turns kids into criminals.

At the same time it makes people who actually want to talk legitimately about some of these "emo" topics be labeled and shunned as emo by the rest of the population. I have seen people say really rather profound things and just get shot down without a second thought as being an emo pussy.

I don't think this is just a normal rebellious fad, I really think it's a cancer in our society.

It's blatant stereotyping at it's worst. People assume that if you listen to music categorized as emo, that you are a deeply emotional person who dislikes everything about life and uses pain as an escape.

No it wasn't... I invented Cryle and Cryan... they were because both Kyle and Ryan acted emo at some point and I decided to mock their misery

edit - Yeah the labels get annoying, just because a band I like writes emotive lyrics (Linkin Park for example) somehow I'm emo... even though I listen to Megadeth, In Flames, Metallica etc

This goes for any type of music too. You can like country, but not dress with a straw hat and Wranglers. You can like jazz, but hate sunglasses.

I know the whole 'Cryan' and 'yer emo!' were just jokes, and I admit, they were funny, but did get on my nerves at times, but you shouldn't be judged by what music you listen to.

Emo music isn't the only type of music I listen to either. I like the classics, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Metallica, and some modern rock.
