Hurricanes can't happen unless the temperature in the ocean they are forming over is higher than 27°C (~80°F). That said the wind speed outside in Iceland right now is about half the speed that the hurricane Katrina was, and is expected to go up to 200 km/h (~125 mph). Temperature right now is about 4°C (~39°F)

There is a nationwide state of warning, people are told not to go out without a reason and to have curtains in front of their windows and to stay away from them in general.

Add snow to that, the whole north-west part of the country is in a big state of avalanche warning, many roads are being blocked by heaps of snow.

This is the greatest wind I've ever experienced.
Shit.

My dad just came home as I wrote this, so at least everyone here is safe.

well, stay safe... its not a Hurricane, like you just said, that would be impossible, just extreme winds a.k.a Hurricane force winds

holy shit, what is the wind chill?

125 mph, 39 degrees F =  about 9 Degrees F

No idea what the wind chill is, we never calculate that here for some reason.

On a lighter note, my dad just told me to go outside and deploy my tent :p
