So my household has been having problems with our internet for awhile, it's starting to be quite the pain in the ass. Somewhat randomly whenever some downloads/uploads are attempted from any computer in the house, nothing can be reached by browser because (I believe?) the DNS server is being overloaded for some reason. All connections that have been made are maintained, for example Teamspeak, AIM, xfire, or when gaming those connections are intact and people can still maintain connection to games or continue online chats, but no website can be reached.
It appears seemingly at random, I was trying to upload a file to youtube and it happened, recently my dad was trying to download CoH patches off file front and it happened, even though I downloaded the same set of patches on my machine and his old machine less than a few months ago, when the problem still was occurring without a problem. To fix it I flip the power on the router, leave it off for a second, turn it back on and allow the computers to renew their ips, and it works until you try the same action again.
Any ideas, or things to consistently try to break it?
ISP: Verizon Fios if anyone has had experiences with that
