With the fight for the Democratic nomination a head heat, a lot of attention has been directed to the every mysterious Super Delegate.
It has become clear that they are the jokers in this card game, beholden to no one and, essentially, up for grabs. With so much power given to so few people, many Democrats are noting that this is, ironically, quite unDemocratic.
In what looks like an attempt to justify the formation of the Super Delegates, GERALDINE A. FERRARO, a Democratic Party elite, Super Delegate, and one of the primary architects of the super delegate system, wrote an op-ed in to the New York Times.
Instead, she does a near flawless job of pointing out exactly why we shouldn't have super delegates.
The arrogance with which Ferraro tries to defend her position is both infuriating as well as transparent. She knows she is in unneeded and unwanted, and now she's butt hurt.
Well, tough luck. Let the people decided, go to the back, and shut the hell up.
P.S: She is a proud supported of Clinton. May also explain some of her anxiety.

Ferraro practically confirms the biggest fear Democrats hold; that even if one candidate wins the popular vote, the super delegates hold the power to over rule them, claiming its in the best interest of the party. Apparently they haven't bothered to realize that if that does happen, they won't have a party. But the superdelegates were created to lead, not to follow. They were, and are, expected to determine what is best for our party and best for the country. I would hope that is why many superdelegates have already chosen a candidate to support.
True, they represent the votes of everyone, not just the Democratic Zombies. Many states have closed primaries, so no one but Democrats can vote. But in those that have open primaries, we invite independents as well as disenfranchised Republicans to cross the isle and vote for who they prefer as well. Yes, this is the Democratic Nominee we are voting on, but he/she will still be the President of us all, so allow everyone to voice their opinion.Besides, the delegate totals from primaries and caucuses do not necessarily reflect the will of rank-and-file Democrats
