Really Old Fucking News
That's why I recommend the Samsung 226CW to people!
Samsung made the 2032/2232BW's because of this...kylef wrote:

according to that site.
"We are tempted to say it’s starting over; however, this isn’t entirely true. Samsung has learned some lessons from bad experiences with the 226BW and it was explained to us that, "The polemic surrounding its panels killed the product". Samsung Korea thus had its engineers work on replacing the discredited 226BW and the result was the 2232BW."
thanks to my luck i have the C
I have the "S" series anyways, so I'm okay
But those are thick, and in my opinion, ugly border-size monitors. The 226CW looks exactly the same as the 226BW, which I vastly prefer.^*AlphA*^ wrote:

well my luck, Miy 226bw is the AU in service menu, even though I have an S model..I think I remeber reading about this last year, but didnt have time to pay any mind to it at the time..ohwell the 226bw's work fine..so shrug
I didn't look at the back of the panel, I used the method they showed.Sup wrote:
Its says on that site that even if the letter S is written at the back of the LCD that doesn't necessarily mean you have an "S" panel. You will find instructions on how to determine what panel you have on that site.Winston_Churchill wrote:

Is this still an issue for the 226bw monitors or has Samsung stopped shipping the A and C panels? I'm thinking about buying one tomorrow so I'd like to know! Right now I can get it for $420, which is a good price here in sweden at least.
If you dont think I should buy this monitor, which one should I go for?

You'll get an S panel, guaranteed.
I sure hope so! Is there anyone else who can confirm this?
And should I go for the SAMSUNG 22" Syncmaster 2232BW instead, I think it's newer?

There's also the 2253BW http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6824001268
it's too expensive for me here in sweden.
