I think the main problem with the kits in BF2 is that the weapons aren't evenly distributed throughout the classes. For example, why are the L85A1 and G36e the unlocks for the medic class? I personally like the L85A1 very much and many say (I don't use it that much) that the G36e is the best assault rifle in the game. Heck, it says so right on the weapons description. "The G36E is the standard assault rifle variant of the G36 family." According to that statement, shouldn't the G36e be unlockable for the Assault class?
Assault rifles are supposed to be the standard weapon in combat, correct? Why then are the carbines (M4, G36c) so accurate? No offense, (while I still use it often) but the G3 is probably the worse weapon in the game. Why did they introduce it as an unlock, when they could've had the G36e for the Assault?
If EA had distributed the weapons evenly and made the accuracy realistic (meaning carbines should not be mini-sniper rifles) I think the Assault class would be used much more often, and for a good reason. The Assault rifles should be the second most accurate guns in the game, second to the Snipers. The accuracy should look like this-- Snipers<Assault rifles<Support<Carbines<SMG's<Pistols<Shotguns
So, that is mainly why the Assault class is being used less and less often. If they made the Assault rifle the best weapons in the game, like they SHOULD be, and make the best Assault rifles only unlockable for the Assault class, then I think that the game would be much more realistic and distributed.
