I think so.
I need to do like 305380538 tests before I can do anything, apparently.

Maybe its not a gun range, maybe they are shooting at you?LT.Victim wrote:
Theres some shooting range at Burke Mountain (if you know where that is) like 10 minutes from my house..
I've never been there, but whenever I go hiking or dirtbiking in the area I always hear gunshots..

You cant just find a shooting range?DefCon-17 wrote:
Well the only thing I'm finding are either hunting clubs, or training facilities which have something like month long training programs for $300, which I don't need.
Most places here in Arizona have automatic weapons readily available for the range.
Yeah...GodFather wrote:
as for the OP, it might be harder to do that stuff in Canada, doesnt Canada have some bad ass gun laws?
you dont need training?DefCon-17 wrote:

wait, you "plan on being a 3d weapon modeler"????!?DefCon-17 wrote:
Is there such a thing as a shooting range where civilians can go to fire some rounds off?
Since I plan on being a 3d weapon modeler, I'd like to personally know how guns work in general, how they shoot, and such.
I assume there are places like that in the US, but I think Canada is a lot more bitchy about firearms.
Anyone know?
Why model other things when you could be modelling guns...jamiet757 wrote:

So, you think you can make a living off of that? How many weapon modelers need there be?
Why not model anything, and call yourself a 3d modeler? Although you can purchase models online and find some free ones, and I am sure almost any weapon has been modeled already.
I am just not too sure where you are going with this?
Because you are not going to make any money doing it, nor will anyone likely use your models, so it is a waste of time.jord wrote:

There'll always be new games coming out, there isn't just one Ak47 model that all games use.jamiet757 wrote:

Ok but my point is, if he is going to be modeling for a game development company, he will model everything, not just weapons.jord wrote:

Yeah me and my rents go shooting all the time. There's plenty of ranges but i guess it matters on where you live. As for Canada i have no clue.DefCon-17 wrote:

(Those may be cops, but the weapons are rented from the gunclub, to civilians, for the range... I fired an M240, M249, M16 and AK47 there)
