awesome configuration ! Gigabyte motherboards are great! 2 x2GB should work fine, why should it not? The motherboard supports up to 8GB and there are only 4 memory slots. So 8 x 1GB isn't an option, that automatically leads to 2GB sticks. As far as I know, 2 x 2GB should work just fine .B.Schuss wrote:

I dropped the RAID. seemed useless after all. But I thought about isntalling OS and Apps to two different physical HD's.
btw, it seems neither the Asus P5e X38, nor the gigabyte Ga-X38-DS4 will support 2x2GB RAM AT ALL, at least I could find none on the QVL. Whats the deal with that ?
