Ownt
Take a stick out?
Not an option, really, as I need more than 1GB in this machine. And if I'd just give in that easily, I wouldn't have made this thread.

It is a bug with the nForce boards, there isn't a way to fix it I believe it is in the BIOS, if your board is old enough that they aren't releasing BIOS updates for it, you are SOL.
Why not just use 1 gb of mem instead of 1.5?
It's main purpose is to run BF2, so I need as much RAM as possible.

BIOS update?
Latest available.
You are running BF2 on a board with DDR333? Hah! Get a new computer if that things main purpose is to run BF2.
First of all, DDR333 is more than enough for BF2. Any DDR is, really. Second, this is DDR400. Third, you would know, if you would've read the thread, that this is not my main computer. I've got 2GB DDR800 in my gaming rig.

Maybe one slot is broken. Does it work if you put a single stick in it?
Yes it does, I've been using this board for months.
I'm talking about the ram slot.
I've been using it for months.
EDIT: The problem seems to have been solved by overclocking the RAM, feeding it with 2.8v, and running it at lower-than-stock timings.
