Right... has sence.  in my opinion... to hell with that. The more dead he is, better 4 everyone.
Not everyone. Familys, the guy himself, but I'm being too literal.

I think that .50's aren't allowed because it makes people harder to ID if their face has been blown off.

I know about dogtags in the shoelaces, but how would you like to be the mother of someone who's torso has been blown off by one shot?

In real life that is not possible since the "bolt" is right under the scope, is you try to do it,, u will hit ur face.
You've got to be kidding me.... you've never fired a rifle before IRL have you....all the different bolt action rifles I have shot....from different .308's to .223's to my good ol 7.62x54R Mosin Nagant 91/30....the bolt has never even touched my face....I suggest you go do a little target practice, than get back to me.  Maybe you don't have any experience and think that your eye is right next to the scope... its not, you do something called resting your cheek on the stock not push your eyeball into the damn scope. Once again I digress I'm not sure how experienced you are with firearms, you didn't convey that you had any experience so I won't rape you on that aspect.  Just trying to give some constructive criticism.

As for the game feature in question, yeah it would make it more realistic, but hey, than there would be sniper wars right?      Right...........
Mosin Nagant 91/30 is a good gun. Shot it many times.

I've played America's Army once a long time ago, and got caught up in the terrain bugs during the "training" you went through. I suppose it's alot better now, but I'm waiting for them to adopt Unreal Tournament 2007's engine.

I don't know about you, but I feel more sorry for the guy with his torso blown open on a completely different level of sympathy than I have for his mother. I'm not downgrading her sense of loss, but I'd rather grieve than be in several pieces strewn about in the dust.

Doesn't the IRL M2 .50cal hit about 30-40% harder then the sniper .50? The real problem is can anyone do anything if hit by any .50 cal anywhere on their body? that is after flying a couple of feet from the shock.

OF COURSE we don't shoot at people with .50s because that violates the law of war so we are in fact shooting at their equipment.
I didn't know that. Thanks 4 the info. By the way... do you know why is this??  I know the answer might be 700 feet long, so if there is no problem, please teach me a bit more about the Rule of War.
Going from memory I believe the Geneva Conventions (international law of war) declared the use of large caliber automatic weaponry to be cruel and inhuman when used in the anti-personnel role.

My data on the .50 cal MG round v Sniper round maybe outdated - I have tried to find a source. When I first saw the .50 sniper rifle a discussion came up because of the recoil. Since all the people around the table had fired .50 MGs and none had as yet fired the .50 sniper rifle we wondered about minor things like pain, dislocated shoulders and early retirement options for snipers. Somebody produced an article that showed the sniper bullet was lighter and had fewer grains of powder in the shell. This may not be true anymore.

Ive come over from AA myself, after a break from BF2 since nov, i came back yesterday. I still cant quite get to grips with it tbh.
I find the aiming so much different than AA. AA i found to be very realistic, but just as annoying in other places. Was certianly based more aroud teamwork, with such small sides. And a lot less arcady ofc.

I have been wondering about the rifles myself,i have unlocked the .50, but dont find it much better than std USMC. And i find the non bolt MEC rifle better, with no need to cock and bigger clip size. Though im sure it lacks power etc.

Of topic i know, but wth is with diving and gettin uber accuracy ?
