Another Bill eruption..In this case I think he’s on solid ground. Bill stumped for his wife in Fayetteville, West Virginia, but got interrupted at a rally by an Obama supporter, who charged that Hillary and Bill never did anything about health care.

ABC News' Karen Travers Reports: For the first time this campaign season, Barack Obama has surpassed Hillary Clinton's support among superdelegates, according to the ABC News delegate estimate.

Sen. Obama, D-Ill., picked up two superdelegates this morning giving him a new metric to tout in addition to his current commanding leads in pledged delegates, popular votes, states won, and money raised.

Rep. Donald Payne, D-N.J., switched his endorsement from Clinton to Obama and Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., endorsed Obama. DeFazio was previously uncommitted.

With these endorsements, Obama has the support of 267 superdelegates and Clinton has 265 superdelegates.

Did Barack Obama send a subtle message to Hillary Clinton about the potential for her to join him on the Democratic ticket last night on CNN? The Guardian picked up on the nuance in Obama’s generous description of Hillary to Wolf Blitzer, all the way across the pond. The Obama campaign wants an end to the internecine battling and may have sent up the biggest signal yet that they’re prepared to cut a deal — or it could just be a gracious way out of a routine question:

Barack Obama yesterday gave the clearest hint yet that he may consider Hillary Clinton as his vice-presidential running mate in the November election for the White House. With the campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination close to finished as a contest, Obama began looking beyond his battles with Clinton to the one with the Republican John McCain.

There are six more primaries left on the Democratic calendar, but Obama has established such a formidable lead that Clinton is no longer realistically capable of overtaking him, and the US media were yesterday treating him as the presumptive Democratic nominee.

The possibility of her serving as vice-president seemed unlikely until yesterday, given the personal bitterness that has grown between the two camps in the course of the campaign. But Obama, in an interview with NBC News, refused to rule out the prospect. “There’s no doubt that she’s qualified to be vice-president; there’s no doubt she’s qualified to be president,” he said.

In an interview with CNN , he said he had not yet wrapped up the Democratic nomination, but when he did he would start the process of selecting a running mate. “She is tireless, she is smart. She is capable. And so obviously she’d be on anybody’s shortlist to be a potential vice-presidential candidate,” he said.

Crap...the only positive aspect of Hillary being on the ticket is that Clinton's are about the ONLY dems who know how to mudsling, destroy, and minimize the effect of an opponent..basically, the Clintons are the Karl Rove's of the Left...and alot classier than Rove.

Other than that, she'll be trying to wear the pants in the white house and flex too much muscle..and dang, what a contrast it'll be from CHeney to her if that happened. Not pretty.

Richardson is very popular and very experienced. He's one of the most experienced diplomats who's politically active right now. The thing is... between his moderate image, likability, and his pull with the Hispanic vote, he's pretty valuable as a running mate. I like him, even though I disagree with some of his stances.

Richardson has the potential to help Obama win Florida, which is almost imperative for Obama to win the election overall. If he doesn't get Florida, he'll have to get Ohio.

But in general, who the hell is Richardson to the average voter? He bombed in the early campaigning from what I saw. I didn't mind him too much but I don't think his name or appeal as you put it would be as valuable a ticket (and FA win) as Clinton or Edwards. THose two have large pull in places OBama doesn't have..or so I've seen.

Anyway, I'm just glad Obama will be beating McCain rather than her. I can actually vote now!

I like Edwards a lot. He's closer to what I stand for than the other Democrats. However... He has a huge skeleton in his closet. Doctors hate him for the lawsuits he's been part of. I have a close friend who's a doctor, and despite being a lot more liberal than I am, she hates Edwards. She's not alone either.... Edwards would hurt Obama more than help him.

Clinton would hurt him more than anyone else though.

I do like Clark, but I've yet to see any indication that he wants to go back into politics.

I can't blame them. Michigan might even do the same. The DNC is idiotic for not letting them have their way, because, rules be damned, you practically have to win Florida to win the election. Michigan obviously helps as well.

Here is a round-up of what has been a series really bad bits of news for Hillary Clinton's campaign today:

* Obama will never fall behind in any overall delegate count, every again. Obama will be ahead of Clinton is delegates even if Florida is seated as is, and even if Obama gets zero delegates from Michigan, and even if Obama dails to net anymore superdelegates. Polling conducted before Indiana and North Carolina projected Clinton to net 31 pledged delegates from the remaining six contests. However, Democratic Convention Watch projects Obama ahead by 37.5 delegates even if Florida is seated based on January 29thth results, and even if Obama receives zero delegates from Michigan. In other words, there is no conceivable delegate count under which Clinton will ever be ahead, ever again.

* Of course the above situation, where Obama can't lose, assume that Obama will not net anymore superdelegates. In truth, he is netting htem at a rapid pace. Obama takes superdelegate lead according to ABC News, and only trails by 6.5 according to Democratic Concention Watch. However, throw in the Pelosi Club superdelegates, and Obama leads on DCW, too.

* Of course, that above situation, where Obama can't lose, assumes Edwards delegates will stay neutral. However, John Edwards admits that he voted for Obama.

* Of course, that above situation, where Obama can't lose, assumes that polls won't get any worse for Clinton. However, Obama is surging in the Rasmussen tracking poll to the point where Rasmussen announced it will discontinue the tracking poll.

* Of course, that above situation, where can't lose, assumes that Obama will receive zero delegates from Michigan. However, the entire leadership of the Michigan Democratic Party now supports giving Obama 59 delegates from Michigan.
