Everyone has the right. My point is to muslims drawing pictures of their prophet was hate. So therefore, using cap spauld reasoning was not free speech. There, hope that clears it up.David.P wrote:

You mean the WBC? Do you not see the difference? The WBC is small and hated by almost all other sects of Christianity. Last time they protested a gang of bikers were going to beat the shit out of them and the cops had to protect them! There are only 100 members of the WBC tops. They are small and insignificant, they don't have the power of the majority of their religion, Where as the Muslim protesters numbered in the 1000's, 10,000's, Hell even 50'000! But yet i Keep hearing Islamic extremists are only 1-2% of the general Muslim population. Really? Fucking Really? Yet the same media also reports the WBC as "Inspiring Millions of Christians" Yet i have not seen one WBC supporter on the street yelling at the top of their voice, "God hates Fags" "All soldiers should die" "Convert or Die!" Etc etc. But the From the latter I have heard various things of those sorts. It's funny though...ZombieVampire! wrote:

And doctored photos hardly help your case.
AHAHAHAHAHA! You always jump to defend them Poseidon. Why? Don't tell me it's cause for your Muslim stepmother's sake. Why do you really do it? You can't have any reasons to defend the belief's of an entire group based on your feelings towards one person.Poseidon wrote:

There are plenty of Christian hate sites on the internet as well (like I dunno.... www.godhatesfags.com perhaps?), but David is so filled with hate and has his horse blinders so tightly on that he can't see that. Shame.
so in your mind if someone puts up a site that calls for Obama to be assassinated, and gives people information about where he will be, what to do, encourages people to try this themselves, that we should just let the govt 'do it's job' and be in reaction mode?Turquoise wrote:
I make fun of Islam a lot, but even I'll agree with method that the hate speech argument isn't good for anyone who supports freedom of speech.
I may despise what this guy is preaching on his website, but I don't have the right to censor him.
If anything, look at it this way... It's better that his hate is out in the open, so that we can keep an eye on him. I'd rather groups like Islamists and Neo-Nazies be out in the open so that we are aware of who they are.
For the most part, American society affords you the right to say what you want, but the government reserves the right to watch you if you exhibit extremist behavior (and for good reason).
If someone did that, they'd be breaking other laws already in place. If this Muslim extremist is doing something like that, then he actually can be imprisoned.CaptainSpaulding71 wrote:

This all depends on what exactly he's saying. If he's providing personal or sensitive information, then yes, he can be prosecuted. If he is declaring that he will kill people, that will also get him imprisoned. Again, these are all covered by other laws already in place.CaptainSpaulding71 wrote:
if i ran into a movie theater and yelled 'fire', is that free speech? in fact it is not. this is inciting public unrest. i claim that calling for death of people, inciting others to act (the lawyers will have to prove this), etc is just this - hate speech and is not protected
Um... what gives you that idea? If anything, radical Islam is losing ground in most of the world. In Pakistan, the majority is actually starting to stand up and fight back extremism with a voice of moderation.CaptainSpaulding71 wrote:
i agree that it's great to have them in the open, but when there are tons of these out there, they are exposing many many people to this crap. unstable people. manipulatable people. radical islam is hands down winning the PR and media battle here. it's time that we throw out that PC crap and call it like it is. it's hate speech and should be shut down. they are using our own sensitivities and touchy-feely Kumba-yah shit against us. let's get with the program and do what needs to be done. deport dear ole sammy - AND his family
WBC are only one example. There are plenty of others, including many supporters of Israel. And if all Muslims wanted the West dead, then believe me, it'd be over already. They outnumber us by more than 2 to 1.David.P wrote:
