Kyle's sig is good. Finny's isn't that bad either to be honest. They both get the point across imo. Finny could you post the code for the avatar please

Sorry FF. I had this page open many hours ago, saw a post talking about signatures and decided I'd have a crack at one. By the time I was done, you had a signature already up with many members using it! Besides, it gave me a useful chance to work on basic animation - because I just can't do that, heh. I like your contrasting colours, mind you ...

Both equally effective tbh, i just like shiny moving things haha. It's good this has taken off - it serves as a constant reminder throughout the forum.

This is why I like it. If enough people start using them, the quicker the message will get across.

I'm not familiar with the 2nd two of your exhibits, so I'll only comment on the first:

So far, that's not flaming.

Occasionally someone crosses the line in DaST, but not often - it is Debate and Serious Talk - Debate is, by it's nature understood, by it's participants, to be combative, and serious talk can sometimes get heated.

I can not comply.  Take away my spam, trolling and personal attacks and what do I have left?

Never actually spammed that much tbh, but I admit that I did sometimes.

I was invited to trackr and it's beautiful, but is sadly only missing the "Everything Else" section. And that is because some of you can't stop being dickheads all the time. I'm telling you now, you're going to regret if you don't change now. Everyone is gonna pay.

just to name a few. I certainly haven't agreed with all these, and the majority of people have probably disagreed with most of them. However he stuck with it, and it has turned out just fine with very little vocal protest on any of these points. You may help make up the community, but you do not own the community. chuy does.

I do not think this gives me any right at all to treat people like crap. You're right, if anything, I should be setting an example, and I strive to in moderating and admining the game servers. When people come in and start talking about how unfair it is that a whole bunch of people are being punished for the actions of a few spammers, especially when they aren't exactly an angel themselves, it makes me mad. It makes me mad that so many are complaining about how unfair it is when other administrators and I have spent hours cleaning up the crap people post in this section, discussing the fate of the spammers, and working to keep the section so that we and others can have fun with it. When people tell me how to do my job, or hold my position against me in an argument but don't feel strongly enough about it to submit a complaint, it makes me mad. It makes me mad when I drop hints about what the impending consequences will be or shove them in someone's face, and people still won't listen to what I am quite sure is the best course of action to keep the section.

Amusingly, you could replace your name in the quotation with those of the majority of Everything Else regulars, and it'd reflect their sentiments exactly. It's a community, Flaming. It'd do you good as a moderator to listen to the majority of the community, rather than shut them off and ignore the people who make you a moderator.

It would reflect their sentiments, because they don't understand the process no matter how many times I post it. They did it to themselves. The mods have done everything possible to keep spam in check, but chuy does not feel it is at acceptable levels. Most of the people that are trying to make logical arguments for keeping EE are the ones that it never would have been in danger in the first place without, because they're the spammers that put us in this position.

If EE was without spammers, it would be safe. If EE had zero moderation, it would have been gone six months ago.

Again, the community does not make me a moderator. The only things I listen to when making decisions concerning this site are what chuy has directed and my own moral compass. Doing the popular thing isn't what the site needs. If I did the popular thing, more spammers than I can count on two hands would never have been banned and wouldn't have reformed, I would have showed everyone their post count, and I would have gone rogue and banned Orangehound and Bernadictus a long time ago.

As a side note, if you feel I have acted inappropriately, feel free to pm me about it so I can either talk with you about it or so I can post it in the moderator section for review. If you don't feel comfortable coming to me about it, go to another mod.
