I can guarantee you that two 4850s can beat two 8800GTS' SLI'd. And the 4850 is on par/faster than 9800GTX, and even GX2 at places, with their preliminary drivers.The_Sniper_NM wrote:

I agree with you 100%. But it's not much cheaper, maybe 20-30 dollars.JaMrulezass wrote:

Single Slot
Less Heat Produced
Less Power Needed
Higher Peformance
Only 1 6-pin required
Crossfire scales better than SLI
MUCH CHEAPER
CrossFireX means Crossfire with other cards, not just other 4850s
I think the 4850 wins
I'm settling on $230 GTS 512 SLI (Already have a card). 2 GTS's > OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG ITS SOOOOO LEEEEEEET 4850... Grats on ATi for finally beating the previous generation.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
