It relatively does, but it's well worth it. I bought it when I bought my PS3 in April, and I'm glad I did...the regular SIXAXIS is WAY too light for me.

How long does the charge last compared to regular sixaxis?

The only thing that pisses me off about having to recharge is that the standard usb cable they give you is so fucking small. Although it is just a standard USB mini-A (or is it mini-B) to USB Type A wire. So I suppose you could probably buy a longer wire from anywhere

If you don't know what I'm talking about with all the mini-A shit:

I thought there were Sixaxis and Dualshock 3.  Mine say Dualshock 3 only.  And they came with the new PS3 80gb one included, the other aside.

TBH I would way rather have battery life then a controller that shivers.

How much immersion does a slight rattle in yours hands give? I went back and played PS2 and the vibrating controller bugged the shit out of me TBH.

The feedback is only really good if it can mimic what you are doing. If the controller recoiled like a gun it would be worth while but it doesn't it just kinda shakes around a bit.

I take that back even in like racing games where you are hitting the rumble strip its kinda dumb. having just my hands shake is like the opposite of immersion, it constantly reminds me I am holding a controller. If the feed back does not feel like the real thing, and your controller does not feel like the real thing I cant see the point in having it.

Yeah, I agree but only for PS controllers.  Not trying to start another console war but I'm just saying that the vibration seems more well-done on XBox controllers.  I haven't tried the PS3 one but the PS2 ones were absolute shit when it came to vibration because they felt so damn small and cheaply built.

I <3 my PS controllers, and xboxs feels awkward as hell....That is really a matter of opinion.

I have read that they beefed up the vibrations for PS3 and that it will rumble pretty good.... But still I think reguardles what controller or system you have if it is just a controller shaking doesn't do anything but annoy you.

I have said it before, the only game that could possibly benifit from a rumble pack is one where you sit around holding a chiwawa.

I love the feed back on my steering wheel, because it lets me actually feel the force from the wheels... "Feedback" from a controller that just shakes around however doesn't really mimic anything. Maybe it gives you extra sensory input, but not in a form that has anything to do with what you are doing on screen...

Its like if you paid someone to point a fan at you any time you fired a gun...OK, thanks for that?

Couldnt agree more, though I agree with poseidon that the six axis is far too light.
