It was in a speech to the UN by a mother who had her hands cut off.  Can't find it tbh.  I think I posted it a long time ago.

well I agree and I do not buy diamonds.

But, seems you are intent on blaming us.  What has Brazil done for them?  Carnival Mogadishu?

Brazil has been transfering agricultural techonology to Africa for the past decade. Recently, an agricultural technology center was inaugrated in Ghana, one of the neediest countries of all. Brazil also has food programs in Mozambique and Senegal and a huge reconstruction project in Angola,  rebuilding the country after decades of war. But thats the kind of stuff that dosen't make international news, but I was able to find at least one link with an english translation.

That's a couple of things Brazil is doing in Africa. I know because I know many of the people involved in those projects. It it costs a fraction of the subsidies that is paid to deny African and any other food producing countries access to better prices. In numbers, its probably much smaller than the aid US sends to africa, we prefer the old "teach how to fish" story.
