US citizens once had the protection of the Posse Comitatus Act, which prevented the use of the US military on it’s own citizens. Now that protection has been removed by two changes. First the Military Commissions Act of 2006, which is vigorously being fought from many directions. The act basically allows that almost anyone can be deemed an enemy combatant, subject to be detained indefinitely. Second is the transfer of control of certain parts of the military to super-national organizations. NORTHCOM like NORAD is a super-national military organization and is in control of Mexico, Canada, and CONUS
recently a contract was awarded to a Halliburton company, KBR. The contract, awarded in 2006, allows for the creation of new camps that can hold up to 400,000 people. This is in addition to the many camps that already exist. The stated reason for the new camps is “an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs”.

Since our government has been lacking in the control of illegal immigration or any other type of immigration for that matter, we are left with the ominous line “support the rapid development of new programs”. It is perhaps the most disturbing part of the press release. What are these new programs? How rapid is the development?

These camps are no new thing:
Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was a plan by the United States federal government to test their ability to detain large numbers of American citizens in case of massive civil unrest or national emergency. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rex_84
The people of the USA have the constitutional right to beer arms against their own government should they act against the best interests of the people. America is split down the middle politically more than ever, with millions of people armed to the teeth and prepared to fight for their Constitution while the other half accept the government's reasoning of controlling immigration and/or terrorism.
The constitution is under attack with Bush Co removing the Writ of Habeas Corpus as well as practicing torture and rendition in the peoples names. Are these camps to house the hundreds of thousands of immigrants, which lets face it the US is not trying very hard to track down or stop entering the country?
Or are these camps for American citizens when their government takes a step too far which causes a mass uprising?
If so, any ideas what could spark such an uprising?
