If you don't buy a computer because it's "too ugly", well, I've got some bad news for you. Plus, that ain't ugly.
I like pretty things, what's the problem? I don't want my life to be filled with ugly things when I have the option to have nice things. It is really nice from the top, but from everywhere it is ugly, at least in my opinion.

Sorry, poor wording. I didn't mean that in case the Air is better. Spec wise the Samsung is better, looks wise well I'd debate otherwise (except for the top - do like the Samsung there). I find looks are important, and a lot of people here don't.
You buy a laptop for usage, not for putting in your house as an ornament. It's a tool; it can be pretty at that.... but sacrificing a lot of your "tool" for some more "pretty" shit is beyond stupid.
In a purely technological view and a NORMAL computer view, the Samsung rapes the shit out of the MacBook air. If you want to go into "lovely little looks" then, yeah, maybe the macbook is better. If someone actually wants to get a small laptop to work, and use properly, they will not look beyond this. If someone is so self-conscious and vain and has no idea why they need a laptop, then they will go for the Air. Up to this point in time, there was nothing to challenge it's "tiny awesomness"; now Samsung has come along.
Never noticed this reply, whoops.
I wouldn't be sacrificing a lot if I only need 1 USB port, or can get a hub if needsbe, would I? I don't need HDMI because there's an HDTV in the house. I prefer DVI over VGA. The only thing connectivity wise the Samsung has that the Air doesn't have which I would like is the second USB port (although a wireless hub can be of use there) and the card reader. Again, read the last sentence there. In a purely technological view the Samsung is better (although I'm noting that many of specs are the same). I ain't self conscious about myself ... I like pretty things. Is there something wrong with that? I'd prefer going through life through nice things that are marginally worse because aesthetics
are important to me. I do not want an ugly brick as a phone. My V3i doesn't have teh same features, as say, the W800i (it's the only one I can think of at the minute) but it is far more prettier and I use my phone a lot - so it needs to be like that.
I think a lot of people have misunderstood my position here ... I'm not throwing threats and negativity towards the Samsung. I like the idea of it very much, and the top looks *really* nice. But I prefer the Air. What's left to understand?

but it's like buying new clothes - you look for the things you like, then see if it looks good t?o you. You wouldn't go roaming around on the streets if you found a shirt that had the "specs" you wanted (say, cotton, medium, short-sleeved) but looked like utter shit to you. You'd throw that back on the rack, and look for another one that suits your tastes.
Exactly.
