But yeah, sry dude, that's how paypal works, you;d have better luck getting a Credit card and buying it that way than PayPal.
Its bullshit though that I cannot get my credit card removed, say some one else made an account with it....TheDonkey wrote:

It doesn't matter who or what is going on with the account, its my credit card and that fact should allow me to at least have you remove it.

i use paypal for business on an almost daily basis, and the few problems i HAVE run into were dealt with promptly.
furthermore, i have a paypal debit card for my business which i use just like a normal debit/credit card.
no complaint at all.

not really any issue that i see, except someone that wants something without going through the proper procedures.

"IF HE WOULD HAVE SIMPLY DONE WHAT THEY ASKED, THEY WOULD HAVE RESOLVED THE PROBLEM."
what, you should be excluded from their policies cause you dont want your info online?
get real, they run a business and arent going to be liable cause you cant keep track of your passwords...
sorry, but learn to read the small print....particularly when it has to do with your credit
oh, and lol...why do you think they want a copy of your SSN?
SO THEY CAN MATCH IT WITH THE SSN THAT IS ALREADY IN THE SYSTEM......YOURS!!!!
OMG!11!!!!
someone on the internets has your SSN...did you not think about that as you punched in your CC info?

I don't know what the roll eyes is about... but I am not about to send out my social security information just so they can remove a fucking credit card number. Even if I was faking, what is the harm in removing the credit card info if I can provide it all? The real own would just have to input it again because it was called into question. I have the credit card, I have the 3 digit security number on the back... I shouldn't have to send out my fucking social security card, thats just rediculous.Parker wrote:

I'm not even asking for the information already on the account. I will them all my credit card info, they can see that it matches that should be enough.
I never gave them my social security info, and never granted them rights to it. I never gave them anything but my credit card number, and I have been more then willing to verify that.

And how do i switch canadian to american?
After you confirm, you can go into your account, under Recent Transactions hit "View Details" and it'll tell you the conversion rate, how much they;re gonna take, and when it'll go through(it takes a week for a debit withdraw to go through

It's called being a legal and responsible company. Do you have any idea on how the world works? Or are you stuck in your room? You DID grant them rights to it. When signing up, you accept their policy that they have the right to ask for any proof of identity and may ask for you to submit it to them for security reasons. When you sign up to Paypal, you are signing up as a HUMAN BEING, not as a fucking profile. Paypal takes their security very seriously, and at any point where they may see "dubious" activity, they will call on the "proof" of your identity. That includes passport, proof of residence, SSN, etc.
It's not ridiculous, it's sensible and smart. Learn to live in the real world, where identity theft is about as normal as breathing.
How would them removing a credit card number be fucking identity theft?
I don't want them to give me any of the info from the account, I will verify the information they already have on file, with out them telling me anything... and if I am right take it off. They don't even need to tell me I am right. I don't need any info from them. I don't want any info from them. I can answer ANY question they are willing to ask about information that is already on file, I will tell them every purchase ever made with the account, I am just not willing to send them a copy of my fucking social security card.
How often do you fax out your social security information Zimmer?

Why would you not, it's not like some 1 day old company called "Paylolz" has just asked you for it.
I think you might just be able to trust them...

I have shopped other places that will keep your CC on file, and all you have to do is ask for it to be removed. Removing it from the system doesn't give out any information... and if for some reason its not a legitimate request it still doesn't hurt anyone, the rightful owner can just go add it again.
Why is my social security information needed for security when they don't have that info to begin with, and I am not asking for any information from the account?
Some one explain to me how me saying "I own credit card number __________, the verification code is __________, Please removed that from your system"
And them saying "If that number is in our system it will be removed."
Is a breach of security? That was all the information I needed to start the account, thats all the information that should be needed to close it.

Victor, I say just drop it, I understand what you mean, but this has gone wayy too far,
Just leave it.
Personally, I take your side, Paypal shouldn't request MORE info to get the stuff already there removed, BUT, it;s their site, their policy, you agreed to it when you signed up, and arguing about it for 2 days on a forum isn't gonna solve anything.
Just leave it.

I haven't really spent two days arguing about it... more like a combined total of less then 15 minutes....TheDonkey wrote:

But fine, I'll leave it at this:
There is less security for someone to start an account, and spend money with a credit card then there is to stop that card from being charged. That's not right. Some one explain to me how me saying "I own credit card number __________, the verification code is __________, Please removed that from your system"
