Derby day on Sunday folks.
Swansea City vs CARDIFF CITY from the Liberty (lol, shudda called it Tampax) Stadium, Swansea. 11.15am Sunday, Sky Sports 1
The first meeting of the clubs at this level for 25 years(League). 1983 / 84 was the last time both sides were in this Division together.
They (Swansea/Jacks) beat us Cardiff a few months back in the Carling Cup, that fucking stank let me tell you.
I went to the FA CUP final/semi last year and walked away with my head held high after loosing vs Portsmouth in the final. It dosen't hurt to think we could of played AC Milan last night instead of them one bit. However, loose on Sunday and it will hurt, I will want to bury my head in the sand until 7am Monday morning when I have to come to work.
The UK has many rivalries but IMO none of them are filled with as much hate as this.
Sunday afternoon you have:
Man Utd v Man City
Arsenal v Chelsea
The Manchester derby is a big game with a bigger watching audience but as for real hatred, nuh not even close.
Same for the Liverpool one, but they all go back to work on Monday (well some do lol) and take the mick out of each other.
Cardiff boys can't go drinking in Swansea on a night out, and likewise they are not welcome in our neck of the woods. If you do find yaself in the wrong City and your accent gets picked up, word will get around and you either get chased out of town or you get a kicking.
Swansea's biggest ever achievement over Cardiff is a famous tale of how they ran a load of Hoolies into the sea. This is why you see old Swansea twats dressed in arm bands and goggles at games. Only a few knew exactly what happened and it's either, the boys who ran into the sea to escape a hiding were infact boys, 12-15 YO or in fact it didnt happen at all.
We are simulary placed in the league we both picked up draws midweek. They have their best player missing Fredy Bodde while we have Joe Ledley coming back from injury. Joe has been with Cardiff for 10 years now and is Cardiff through and through. He will hate the Jack Bastards as much as each and every fan, only he gets the chance to go through them with his studs up. Isn't it odd when if a player of your team gets sent off for trying to 'do' on of the Jacks he gets applauded not critisised like every other week of the year?
The only game I reckon which comes close is the Glasgow derby but again both teams are same city. This isnt, we are 45 mins apart and ever since Cardiff got award the title of 'Capitol City of Wales' the caravan dwellers down west have been bitter. They have serious chips on their shoulders.
Watch out for:
Ross McCormack
Micheal Chopra
Wayne Routledge
As a club Cardiff are exteremely lucky to have all 3 players. Chops (Whats that coming over the hill?) has played in Tyne derbies before and thus knows what us fans expect.
I love Cardiff City, its in my blood and my Daughters. Have a look at last years FA Cup thread http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=95595, that was the biggest game in our clubs history (imo) as mentioned to loose this would be fucking unbearable.
Even if you don't like football or know what it is, watch this lot try and kick shit out of each other, the players will do the same aswell. The ref Martin Atkinson is a bit card happy so both teams finishing with 11 will suprise me.
There could be pitch invasions, there will be fans trying to get to each other, there will be a lot of trouble this weekend down west, and like wise in Cardiff when the inbred pricks come to us for the reverse fixture.
Have a look on youtube for a feel of how much we despise each other. Just type in 'Cardiff v Swansea' and look at video's of fans trying to rip shit into each other. The most amazing act of hooliganism I ever saw was Us v Them at ours in '93. We had just lost to Stoke in a big big game a few days earlier and the notorious 'Soul Crew' (Cardiff's hoolies) had caused riots outside after the match. 7 Days later they returned as we played vs The Jacks in the Welsh Cup final.
I arrived early to watch the fans trying to get at each other and the Jacks coaches pulled into the car park. The doors opened, the police just about managed to keep us seperated and I watched bricks, bottles and other missles cross the police officers heads. An old Granny n Grandad struggle off the coach, she hands him a golf ball which he launches into the Cardiff fans. Poor bastard wont be around now as at a guess I'd say he was mid 80's back then. He would of lived all his life hating us, wishing he was one of us, poor cunt, pity you didnt take ya inbredded off spring with you. Could have had a family funeral in ya clapped out caravan ya pikey cunt, sell some pegs to my Grandad up in heaven and he'll rip ya legs off, he hated you aswell.
Come on Cardiff 'Fuck em up, get into em'
11.15 SP1 Sunday - Well worth watching
Swansea 1- Cardiff 3 Bloooooobirds Bloooooobirds
*Sorry my Youtube's being a cock, just search for Cardiff v Swansea*
