Ok so let me get this straight. To overclock to 3.6Ghz I need to...
Change multiplier to 9.
Lower the DRAM frequency to 533.
Raise FSB to 400
Apply correct CPU voltage to create stability.
Of course doing all this in small increments. Correct me if i'm wrong please.
Messing with the FSB termination, GTL and PLL voltage will help too
not all E8400 will hit 3.6GHz on stock V. Plus if you leave it at auto the BIOS will ramp it up for you to much higher levels than neededFloppY_ wrote:
uhm.. with a P5Q and a E8400 all you need to do is adjust the FSB to 400Mhz since the multiplier is already at 9xNaturn wrote:

Voltage is not needed if you stick to 400Mhz @ 9x and then adjust your RAM multiplier so that they are still running at their standard Mhz

While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
