i3D.net now offers hack protection on Battlefield 2 Ranked servers

i3D.net now offers BF2ahd on i3D.net hosted Battlefield 2 Ranked game servers. BF2ahd protects your Battlefield2 game server from known hacks that can cause your servers to crash.

    * BF2ahd detects and prevents multiple vehicle/uav/supply drops
    * BF2ahd detects and prevents non-commander drops
    * BF2ahd detects and prevents fake names
    * BF2ahd minimizes the chance of all players crashing back to desktop
    * BF2ahd detects and prevents chat spam

i3D.net clients who wish to upgrade to this additional service can upgrade by sending in a ticket with a request for BF2ahd. The costs are 25 euros one time for manual setup of this hack protection tool.
Dunno if it's been posted before. No matter, it seems like a good thing.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

25 euros? O_O

I mean, it sounds really really great, but with that price, it's better to wait for patch 1.5 - AKA the next century

Wait, wut? You're going to tell me they didn't have any hack protection (or good ones) and now they have to pay on top of the monthly server costs just to get those hack protection. Fucking extortionists.

Development costs from a 3rd part, doing what EA/DICE should have done long ago tbh

Sounds good.

25€ once. If you can't afford that, I don't see how you can afford a server.

It's a sad comment on a game's developer support when third parties are patching its security flaws.

Actually, I don't even have a server, nor do I want one. Yet 25 for such thing which someone I know did for free is simply too expensive.

This is installed on the server, rather than on your PC. So no bans from PB there

Even if it would be so, the ban wouldn't even be free. It would run you €25

EUR 25 ONCE - you pay for the setup and NOT for the software (http://BF2ahd.2F4Y.com).

2F4Y.com initially developed that tool to protect their own servers from hack-caused crashes and it works great.

Well, there's a familiar face.

If you spend it on either real drugs or anti-cheat system setup for a server I get the RCON pass for.

Real drugs I can do.

Anti cheat system is too lame.

this, autoadmin is based off of a hack which allows much more control over the game than was originally intended. i don't understand why they haven't condemned it yet. ;-/

My guess,

"The patch is stalled due to this kind of shit like Auto admin/own scripts/etc, etc. "

Some people came up with "security measures" for things that didn't even exist

like

patch 1.12 * FIX : Fixed issue where player could manipulate there name/nickname

patch 1.2   Guess what 187Ci came up with........ geez

let sleeping dogs sleep plz!

i guess PB don't ban autoadmin because even though its a hack it assists the community (although that is debatable...), also because removing it would make all the server owners who require it to keep their server clean emorage and stop hosting which is bad for bf2.
