indeed... SF3D and AMD's "Macci" are supposed to try liquid helium overclocking of Phenom II in CES... It's not sure if can get hold of liquid helium tho

It gets beat pretty bad in all other benchmarks, but in gaming (which is what matters, imo) it definitely delivers.

Actually they do look to be pretty good for people with a fairly low budget like me, the 240 is selling for £237 on ebuyer which I have to say is a nice price for what is a pretty good processor. Granted its not as powerful as the i7's but there's not a huge gap between them (Toms hardware summarised the gap as being about 22%), given the cost of an i7 system compared to just pulling out my X2 5600 and putting in a phenom 2 240 and no other new components it'd be a pretty nice addition.

EDIT: Now I just need £240 and to not be taking driving lessons so I can actually keep the money I earn...
