I continued fiddling around with W7 today and found out that it now has support for AAC files!

Windows Media Center and WMP can both play them, (and properly, unlike on WMP11 + codecs, where it would only play them one at a time).

This is pretty for itunes users like me, now we can use Windows Media Center and WMP (which aren't that bad, windows media center is rather good at what it does) without having to convert all of our music to mp3 or wma

Good on microsoft for supporting other popular formats

I'm about to see if it'll play songs bought from iTunes with DRM - I doubt it though

Well iTunes is supposed to be going DRM free, which will be nice.

Hopefully they'll let you decrypt music which you've already purchased too.

Then again, it's not that big an issue since you can just get doubletwist now anyway, and remove the DRM

They are, but as a deal with the record companies, you have to pay something like 20 or 30 cents each.
