I continued fiddling around with W7 today and found out that it now has support for AAC files!
Windows Media Center and WMP can both play them, (and properly, unlike on WMP11 + codecs, where it would only play them one at a time).
This is pretty for itunes users like me, now we can use Windows Media Center and WMP (which aren't that bad, windows media center is rather good at what it does) without having to convert all of our music to mp3 or wma
Good on microsoft for supporting other popular formats
I'm about to see if it'll play songs bought from iTunes with DRM - I doubt it though
