Yeah it's a southwest thing. It's a massive electronics store with triple the selection of Best Buy or any other place I've been to. Has everything you need. I even built my first computer there (before I found out about newegg).
It's a shame they don't expand, or even have many stores to begin with. Probably a lot of shipping and stocking fees though.

Microcenters are very cool... great prices and big selection(they match internet proc prices)...
There are 12 or so throughout the US... much better than Circuit Gipme... or Worst Buy...
I go in Worst Buy once in awhile for fun... I laugh at 180 dollar nvidia 7600gts or 150 dollar 1 gb of pc3200 ram... I guess people buy them...lol?

This has been a long time coming. I have never had a good experience with CC. In-store customer service was/is non-existent, and I got fucked over on a rebate for a monitor I bought there - it was a $100 rebate, but it was split into separate $30 and $70 rebates, and after mailing both in simultaneously, I got a letter from them like 2 months later saying that the $30 dollar rebate had processed, but the $70 rebate came in past its deadline date.
They. Were. Mailed. At. The. Same. Time. It wasn't a huge deal, monetarily, but the whole principle REALLY irked me.
From that point on, I never stepped foot in a CC, and any time the store was mentioned in conversation, I was sure to tell people just how shitty my experiences with them had been. Over-priced, under-staffed (at least in terms of "good" staff), and obviously out to screw the customer as much as they think they can get away with.
When I heard they were going under, I went to a local store just to see what they had...their TV's - at "liquidation prices" - were still more expensive than similar stuff from Best Buy/Wal-mart/any-other-fucking-store-on-Earth, and I could only wonder how they had stayed in business for as long as they had.

Why do you think the return line at the front of the store is so long. If I was them i wouldn't put the return line at the front, but rather have a separate door with the return line away from the entrance so people don't see it coming in (i.e. come to the side of the store or something).

Then I loled again because I never stepped inside of a Circuit City in my life time. Finally, I was tempted to go because I wonder if C.City may of had the LCD TV I wanted at a reasonable price but went to a nice restaurant for a late lunch instead.
